BACK 2 BASICS: BEAUTY & HEALTH

Wouldn’t it be nice to wake up in the morning with perfect skin, healthy hair, and no bags under the eyes?!
Come on, don’t lie, we all wish there was a magic pill out there!

Well even though there isn’t a magic pill out there, there are 3 main things we can manage to help keep us looking healthy and beautiful!
1. Don’t smoke
2. Protect your skin from the sun
3. Eat a healthy diet

Now all of us have different lifestyles, so as a little cheat, we have several vitamins we can take to help improve and the quality of our health and skin/hair.

VITAMIN A:
This antioxidant is essential for the growth and renewal of new skin cells.
You can also find a good source of vitamin A in egg yolks and diary products.

VITAMIN B:
Increases fatty acids in the skin.
Helps exfoliation and firmness of the skin.
You can also find a good source of vitamin B in yeast, egss, liver, vegetables.

Vitamin C:
The building block of collagen, the protein that gives the skin its structure, tone, and elasticity.
You can also find a good source of vitamin C in citrus fruit, broccoli, peppers, berries, tomatoes.

Vitamin D:
Essential for the development of skin cells.
You can also find a good source of vitamin D in egg yolks, salmon, fortified milk, and other dairy products.

Vitamin E:
Antioxidant that helps build and maintain healthy skin tisuue.
You can also find a good source of vitamin E in wheat germ, leafy greans, nuts, whole grains.

Fat:
YES!! Fat is also an important nutrient for the skin and the health of the whole body, if you like to believe it or not!
It is necessary for supple skin and soft shiny hair.
Incorporate unsaturated fats such as the monounsaturated fats found in olive oil and avocado; with omega-3 fats found in fatty fish and some seeds, into your daily diet.
