Liza Macawili Ramos
Makeup Artist/Educator/CA Licensed Esthetician

California native Liza began her career in entertainment as a dancer. For 11 years
she danced and toured for companies like Disney and Sesame Street Live, and ballet
and musical theater shows. Just as many actresses wait tables in between jobs, Liza
did makeup. She started at a photography studio in the mall called “Freeze Frame”
where they trained her in hair & makeup. She quickly worked her way up onto the
traveling team where she did makeup on events and fashion shows. She got her first
taste of New York working on an episode of “The Sally Jesse Raphael Show: Gulf
War Makeovers.” Realizing the beauty industry would be a great career, she got
trained in skincare and received her esthetician license. She then went on with her
dance career.

When Liza decided to retire from dancing professionally, she went into the beauty
industry full time and was fortunate enough to gain some clients who have kept her
busy for the past decade. In July of 2002, her first job with Lowrider Magazine was a
cover, and she has since amassed over 50 covers with them, and will be celebrating
her 10 year anniversary with Lowrider this year. In 2002, she also auditioned to be
an educator for Sebastian Professional’s makeup line Trucco. She was then chosen
to audition for the Artistic team out of 80 members across North America. From the
80 members, she was one of the seven chosen to join the team. She has since
worked on print, platform work, education, fashion shows, and industrial work for
Sebastian Professional as well as their parent company, Proctor & Gamble.
When Proctor & Gamble discontinued Trucco Cosmetics, Liza went looking for a
new cosmetic line to work with. She has been working with Youngblood
Cosmetics, a luxury, natural mineral makeup line that works well with the different
media that Liza’s work demands. With Youngblood, she has enjoyed working on
fashion shows, trade shows, education and industrials.

Her client list includes musicians, actors, reality personalities, fitness champions
and Playmates. She loves working in web fashion for her clients Hot Topic, Torrid,
Tilly’s and AdoraOm, and for beauty companies Sebastian, Wella, Nioxin, Aveda,
KMS, & Youngblood Cosmetics. Liza also enjoys teaching and is currently on the
roster for CMC Makeup School.

In 2007 she was makeup support in Barcelona for the Trend Vision Awards
representing the USA with Adam Livermore. Because of her experience in the
beauty industry she was asked to judge for North American Hairstyling Awards
makeup category in 2010 and 2011.

Liza is now enjoying life as a newlywed with her husband Tito !!
